About the Advanced acne clear peel
What it’s for
Active breakouts and congestion.
For breakouts, congestion and the marks acne leaves behind.
What happens
- Cleanse and degrease, then we map where the congestion actually sits.
- A clarifying peel is applied in layers and timed to what the skin will take.
- Extractions where the skin allows them, and left alone where it does not.
- A calming mask, then barrier cream and SPF.
What to expect after
Skin can look pinker and feel dry for two to three days, then flake lightly. Existing spots usually dry down faster. Some skins push out a few more in the first week before it settles.
Who it’s not for
Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and not for anyone with an aspirin allergy, within six months of isotretinoin, or during a flare of eczema, rosacea or cold sores. Tell us about every acne medication you are on, oral and topical.
If you are not sure whether any of this applies to you, say so when you book. We would rather move your appointment than treat skin that is not ready for it.
Aftercare
No picking and no squeezing — that is what turns a spot into a mark that outlasts it. Keep it simple: gentle cleanser, light moisturiser, SPF. Pause your retinoid for five days, then come back to it slowly.
